Olie Voshardt
May 1994 -
August 2006
Olie was short for Oleander - a
tropical shrub we found him hiding under when he was only
weeks old. He was one of a litter of six kittens who
wandered into our lives back in 1994 when we lived in
Florida. He was the most mellow cat of our feline family,
who loved to be held like a baby and have his tummy patted.
You could say "pat pat?" and he'd come trotting over for
attention with a spring in his step. He also liked to tuck
himself into our bed and we'd often find him hiding as a big
lump under the comforter. His remaining siblings Winky and
Daisy miss him terribly and it has taken a lot of adjusting
to getting along without their neutral referee and sidekick.
Olie was a grounding influence in our lives as well, and
we've been lost without him, too. We're so glad he was well
when we made the journey from Florida to our new home in New
York a few months before he died. He enjoyed being a city
kitty for at least a little while.
We love you Olie,
Robyn and Sven
